At Marshmallow, we believe everyone deserves full protection. That’s why we only offer fully comprehensive insurance.

This means our policies protect you if:

  • You damage someone else’s car or property
  • Your car is stolen or damaged (including by fire or vandalism)
  • You or your passengers are injured in an accident

We don’t offer third party insurance because it doesn’t cover damage to your own car or compensate you if you’re injured. We know accidents can be tough, so we want to make sure you're properly covered.

Do you offer third party insurance?

No. We don’t currently offer third party only insurance.

Third-party insurance only covers damage to other people’s property. It doesn’t protect your own car or pay compensation if you’re injured.

Our fully comprehensive policies cover all of this, ensuring you’re protected even if the accident was your fault.

We know accidents can be stressful, so we want to make sure you have the right protection when you need it most.

Do you offer temporary car insurance?

Not right now. We currently only offer 12-month policies.

If you only need short-term cover, you can take out a policy and cancel when it suits you. Please note that if you cancel more than 14 days after buying your policy, a cancellation fee will apply.

I want to use my vehicle to make deliveries – does Marshmallow cover this?

No. Our policies do not cover commercial use. This means you cannot use your vehicle for:

  • Food deliveries (e.g. takeaways, groceries, meal services)
  • Parcel deliveries
  • Leaflet drops or courier services
  • Any other work-related deliveries

If you need to use your vehicle for deliveries, you’ll need to cancel your current policy and find specialist cover elsewhere.
