Excess Protection is an add-on that lets you get a 100% refund on your excess after a fault claim.
So if you have to pay your excess after an accident, with Excess Protection you’ll be able to claim back your total excess (which means your compulsory excess and voluntary excess) during the claims process.
How does it work?
In order to claim back your excess, you will need to contact our partners, Legal Protection Group. They will refund your excess in full.
What is an excess?
Your excess is the amount you agree to contribute towards a claim.
For example, say your excess is £500. If you have a crash that leads to £5,000 of damages, you will pay the first £500 towards those costs. We pay the remaining £4,500.
Excess Protection allows you to get that £500 back in your own pocket (or wherever you want to keep it).
