For the next three years, that means becoming the go-to insurer for people who are new to the UK. A huge cohort of people that the industry is not set up to support.

Not only do we cater for their immediate needs (fairer, cheaper prices), we also go above and beyond to make them feel seen and heard in everything we do.

A word from our founders

Since founding the company in 2017, Marshmallow has insured over one million drivers, most of them migrants. That has allowed us to grow to 600+ colleagues, reach profitably, and raise $100s of millions in capital. We’ve done that by building all of our own technology end-to-end — from underwriting to fraud and claims — and delivered unbeatable prices for our customers in the process.

What we’ve achieved so far is just the beginning.

Millions of people migrate every year, and when they do they find all kinds of financial products impossible to get access to. We’re going to change that, by being the company that makes tech-first financial products aimed at migrants. We’re going to solve more problems, with more products, in more places.

Our success so far in the UK is a solid foundation. Now it’s time to build on it. We want to be a huge technology company. Every day we’re relentlessly building, testing, learning and challenging, making bigger and bolder moves to achieve our ambitions.
